Summer pool party wedding at Colan Barton ⋆ Jabula Stretch Tents

The couple Elli & Allis wanted a small wedding with a relaxed chilled out vibe and wanted to include all their favourite things – surfing, wildflowers and a love of the outdoors! They decorated the stretch tent so beautifully with long wooden tables and chairs, beautiful flowers, muted pinks and a very cool unique guestbook surfboard! As Ali is an avid surfer they decided to create a Custom RetroFish surfboard with Keith of Freeriders, Falmouth for all their guests to sign. Such a great idea for a surf style wedding.

We set up plenty of festoon lights inside the tent as well as strung out on festoon poles around the swimming pool and garden and they set up a fire pit close by with cushions and rugs. Their ceremony was held outdoors by the lake, canapés and cocktails by the poolhouse, the reception under the stretch tent and they held their first dance beneath the stars surrounded by sparklers. It all looked magical and sounded like they had a wonderful time.

Ellis and Ali both looked amazing. Ellis’s dress from Grace Loves Lace with a peony and dahlia bouquet was stunning and we loved Ali’s smart casual look, with his jacket from Richard James, open collar and chinos.

Colan Barton is a beautiful 350 year old farmhouse with a pool, pool house, games room, jacuzzi, acres of land, a rustic farmhouse kitchen with an Aga. They have a wedding licence and have a stunning indoor ceremony area and lots of beautiful options for outdoor ceremonies too. The lovely hosts, Sarah and Ross have created a place that has everything needed for a fabulous wedding and went to great lengths to ensure that the day went perfectly!

Debbie from Red Robin Pantry in Falmouth delivered a delicious semi-naked, vanilla wedding cake adorned with David Austin roses and Chef in my Home provided the food.
